Why stock-to-currency correlation matters
Many stocks are really currency or commodity bets in disguise. An oil producer often moves against USD/CAD, a gold miner with gold, a high-growth tech name with USD/JPY on risk-on days. Knowing the link helps you avoid doubling the same risk across a stock and a forex position, or choose the cleaner instrument for the view you hold.
