SMC Trading Signals — Smart Money Concepts Methodology

Our trading signals are built entirely on Smart Money Concepts (SMC) — the institutional methodology developed by ICT (Inner Circle Trader). We follow where smart money places orders.

SMC Concepts Used in Every Signal

Why SMC Beats Traditional Technical Analysis

Traditional indicators (RSI, MACD, moving averages) are lagging — they tell you what already happened. SMC identifies where institutions are placing orders RIGHT NOW, giving you a leading edge.

SMC Trading Signals — Complete ICT Smart Money Guide

Smart Money Concepts (SMC) is the trading methodology developed from ICT (Inner Circle Trader) that models how institutional banks and hedge funds accumulate and distribute positions. TebotechSignals is built entirely on this framework — not retrofitted basic TA.

What Are Smart Money Concepts (SMC)?

Smart Money Concepts is a technical analysis framework that focuses on institutional order flow rather than lagging indicators. The theory: retail traders consistently lose because they trade against institutions. SMC teaches you to identify WHERE institutions are placing orders — and trade with them.

The framework was popularised by Michael Huddleston (ICT — Inner Circle Trader) and has become the dominant retail trading methodology in 2024–2026, replacing traditional indicator-based approaches.

Core SMC Concepts Explained

Every TebotechSignals signal is tagged with the relevant SMC concepts used — here's what each means.

Order Blocks (OB)

The final opposing candle before a large institutional move. Smart money places orders here — price returns to these zones with high precision. TebotechSignals identifies and tags every OB entry in real time.

Fair Value Gaps (FVG)

Three-candle patterns where price moves so fast that a gap (imbalance) is left between the wicks. Institutional algorithms return to fill these gaps. We use FVGs for precision limit entries.

Break of Structure (BOS)

When price breaks a prior swing high (in an uptrend) or swing low (in a downtrend), confirming that institutional order flow is continuing in the trend direction.

Change of Character (CHoCH)

The first BOS in the opposite direction — signals institutions are reversing. Used for high-probability counter-trend entries on strong confluences.

Liquidity Sweeps

Institutions deliberately push price above prior swing highs or below swing lows to trigger retail stop losses before reversing. Our AI fakeout risk score measures this probability.

Premium & Discount Zones

ICT defines "premium" (above 50% of a range — good for sells) and "discount" (below 50% — good for buys). All signals are filtered to ensure entries in the optimal zone.

Market Structure Shift (MSS)

A lower-timeframe BOS after a liquidity sweep — the confirmation that a new directional move has begun. Used for the highest-probability entries on 15M–1H charts.

HTF Bias (Higher Time Frame)

Daily and Weekly chart context that filters signal direction. A buy signal on H1 must align with D1 bullish bias — this filter alone removes the majority of losing trades.

How TebotechSignals Applies SMC

HTF Analysis First

Every signal starts with D1 and W1 chart analysis to establish institutional bias before drilling to entry timeframes.

Entry Precision

Entries are always at Order Blocks or Fair Value Gaps — never mid-range. This minimises risk and maximises R:R ratios.

AI Fakeout Scoring

Our unique AI model scores every signal for stop-hunt probability (1–10) — helping you avoid the most common retail trap.

SMC vs Traditional Technical Analysis
