✅ 1. Higher Timeframe Bias Confirmed
- What is the D1/W1 trend direction?
- Are you trading WITH the HTF bias?
- If NO → Skip the trade. Period.
✅ 2. Liquidity Mapped
- Where is the nearest buy-side liquidity (BSL)?
- Where is the nearest sell-side liquidity (SSL)?
- Has price already swept the relevant liquidity pool?
- If liquidity hasn't been swept → WAIT. Smart money sweeps before moving.
✅ 3. Order Block Identified
- Is there a valid bullish/bearish order block on H4 or H1?
- Has price returned to mitigate it?
- If no OB in the entry zone → No trade.
✅ 4. Fair Value Gap (FVG) Present
- Is there an unfilled FVG near your entry zone?
- Price returns to fill FVGs 74.3% of the time on H4
- FVG + OB confluence = highest probability entry
✅ 5. Market Structure Confirmed
- BOS (Break of Structure) in your trade direction?
- Or CHoCH (Change of Character) confirming reversal?
- No structural confirmation = guessing.
✅ 6. Kill Zone Timing
- Are you in the London Open (2-5 AM EST) or NY Open (7-10 AM EST) kill zone?
- London/NY overlap has the highest institutional volume
- Trading outside kill zones = lower win rate
✅ 7. Risk Management Calculated
- Risk per trade: 1-2% of account maximum
- Risk:Reward ratio: minimum 1:2, ideally 1:3+
- Stop loss placed behind structure (not arbitrary pips)
- If R:R is below 1:2 → Skip. No exceptions.
Position Sizing Formula
Lot Size = (Account Balance × Risk %) ÷ (Stop Loss in Pips × Pip Value)
Example:
- Account: $10,000
- Risk: 1% = $100
- Stop Loss: 40 pips
- Pip Value (EUR/USD, 1 standard lot): $10/pip
Lot Size = $100 ÷ (40 × $10) = 0.25 lots
